Casting with Martha Stewart and Roxanne Farahmand for Somesuch’s production of Portrait of a Generation dir. by Dan Emmerson, we worked with hundreds of communities across London, Brighton, Birmingham and Glasgow to create 100 films about 100 people turning 18 to launch ASOS’ youth label. The project, a brainchild of Uncommon Studio to create “a unique visual census of British youth,” consisted not only of the impossible task of routing the stories across the four cities, but also creating a casting system and culling all the cultural insights across the interviews into a stories matrix for the central 6 minute documentary. Across social media, anxiety, mental health, dating, work and prejudice, Portrait of a Generation was a featured pixelated into a 100 bit campaign series.

D&AD Wood Pencil award for Best Use Of Street Casting at the D+ADs 2019 for Collusion: For the Coming of Age. ASOS project, produced by Somesuch & Co for Uncommon Creative Studio.
